Temos o orgulho de anunciar que fomos nomeados para o prestigiado Pr\u00e9mio Earthshot 2024. O Pr\u00e9mio Earthshot<\/a>, fundado pelo Pr\u00edncipe William e pela The Royal Foundation, procura identificar e recompensar solu\u00e7\u00f5es inovadoras que abordem os desafios ambientais mais urgentes do mundo. A nomea\u00e7\u00e3o da Herdade da Matinha na categoria Proteger e Restaurar a Natureza \u00e9 uma importante valida\u00e7\u00e3o do nosso compromisso em avan\u00e7ar com o reflorestamento e a conserva\u00e7\u00e3o da biodiversidade na Herdade da Matinha, na Costa Alentejana, como um modelo para escalar e replicar em outros territ\u00f3rios.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

O nosso trabalho, baseado no reflorestamento de esp\u00e9cies aut\u00f3ctones e em pr\u00e1ticas de conserva\u00e7\u00e3o da biodiversidade, tem provado ser uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o vi\u00e1vel para expandir e acelerar a reabilita\u00e7\u00e3o de habitats, a conserva\u00e7\u00e3o da biodiversidade e a regenera\u00e7\u00e3o florestal para um ecossistema mais resiliente face \u00e0s mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas.<\/p>

Sobre a Matinha Re-Gen<\/h5>

A Matinha Re-Gen \u00e9 um programa de reflorestamento e conserva\u00e7\u00e3o da biodiversidade iniciado em 1995 como uma miss\u00e3o para restaurar habitats naturais e ecossistemas na Herdade da Matinha. O nosso Plano de Gest\u00e3o do Ecossistema tem como objetivos: a) Promover a biodiversidade funcional; b) Melhorar a interliga\u00e7\u00e3o entre infraestruturas ecol\u00f3gicas, aprimor\u00e1-las e reduzir o risco ecol\u00f3gico; e c) Promover servi\u00e7os ecossist\u00e9micos no contexto espec\u00edfico do territ\u00f3rio.<\/p>

Agora, ap\u00f3s 28 anos de dedica\u00e7\u00e3o di\u00e1ria e resili\u00eancia, temos 107 hectares de terras que se tornaram um pr\u00f3spero Santu\u00e1rio da Natureza.<\/p>

Sobre o Pr\u00e9mio Earthshot<\/h5>

Lan\u00e7ado em 2020 por Sua Alteza Real o Pr\u00edncipe William e pela The Royal Foundation, o Pr\u00e9mio Earthshot \u00e9 um ambicioso pr\u00e9mio global para o ambiente, concebido para descobrir, celebrar e escalar as melhores solu\u00e7\u00f5es para ajudar a reparar o nosso planeta. O Pr\u00e9mio Earthshot vai premiar um milh\u00e3o de libras a cada um dos cinco vencedores anuais cujas solu\u00e7\u00f5es fa\u00e7am mais progressos em dire\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s cinco categorias Earthshot.<\/p>

Para 2024, um total de 2.429 solu\u00e7\u00f5es potencialmente revolucion\u00e1rias, baseadas em 139 pa\u00edses em todo o mundo, foram apresentadas por uma rede de mais de 430 Nominadores Oficiais. As nomea\u00e7\u00f5es ser\u00e3o sujeitas a uma avalia\u00e7\u00e3o detalhada, culminando na sele\u00e7\u00e3o final pelo Pr\u00edncipe William e pelo Conselho do Pr\u00e9mio Earthshot. Os vencedores ser\u00e3o anunciados na quarta cerim\u00f3nia anual de entrega de pr\u00e9mios, em Cape Town, em novembro de 2024.<\/p>
